Hocka-I-Do! Memphis Cast Member David McDonald Proposes Onstage at the Shubert Theatre

There's plenty of sizzling romance in the Tony-winning musical Memphis, but on April 17, a real-life love story took center stage at the Shubert Theatre. After the matinee performance, ensemble member David McDonald stepped out to tell the audience all about his loving girlfriend Pilar, who was seated in the front row. Much to the delight of the crowd, McDonald got down on one knee to pop the big question and ask for her hand in marriage...and she said yes! We think that deserves one heck of a "Hockadoo"!
